Shari Alexander, Director, Ángeles de la ÓperaLos Ángeles de la Ópera, the Angels of the Opera, are the driving force behind the success of Opera San Miguel and our National Concurso to identify and promote the most promising young operatic talent in Mexico. The remarkable generosity of this group of major donors is making possible the dreams of the extraordinarily gifted young singers we discover. Our donors understand that once singers in Mexico complete their formal training, many are not fully prepared for a professional career. They may lack preparation in crucial skills, the funds to support advanced study, and expert guidance in preparing for a career; nearly all suffer the common problem of limited performance opportunities. Although possessing enormous potential, many young artists must sadly forego their career aspirations.

Through the gifts of our donors, particularly the Angels, Opera San Miguel is able to provide practical assistance to these worthy artists through monetary grants, international-quality counsel, and performance opportunities. The Angels’ vision and generosity are helping launch the careers of the next generation of opera stars and in the process making our community one of the cultural cornerstones of the nation.

The future of Opera San Miguel, and indeed the future of our extraordinary singers, depends on your support.
