What a difference a year can make! From an idea presented a little over a year ago at a casual lunch, our band of Angels has grown from 10 in 2009 to more than 20 in 2010, and now includes 2 of the dearest Archangels! I owe particular thanks to my Co-Director Alberto Pacheco, for his tireless help in all matters great and small; and to our new Co-Director, Sheila Sheehan, whose energy and tremendous organizational skills have created a foundation for this program that will carry us forward to new, and greater heights.
Is there any way to truly thank our Archangels, Howard Haynes and William Harris? Their enthusiasm, farsightedness and humility are an inspiration to us all. And to all our Angels, whose spirit, vision and generosity make this extraordinary evening possible, our heartfelt and sincere thank you for your kind hearts and for sharing our vision for the future of ópera de San Miguel.
